These three sketches provide a space for sleeping and working, in a minimal environment.
All designs also included a space for standing, since the bare minimum space would (in my view) be a claustrophobic, unusable space.

The first plays with the concept of the mechanics of changing a furnitures use depending on the time of day. i.e. this working desk pivots to become a bed.
The second considered the egg shape. If a being can be born then surely the volume could accommodate our requirements?



















The last concept follows a completely organic form, whereby the shape of the 'skin' of the unit provides the working space. Sitting and sleeping spaces simply fold out/away as required.

Anthropometrics

Welcome to me.

Studying the measurements of myself came up with these figures.
It is interesting to gauge exactly how far it is to the eye level, to the hip, to the knee joint - how far can you reach while sitting down.

There is a greater finality to the measurements when done yourself rather than simply reading from a textbook.
